After CCCC’s selection for the ECMA’s, there’s been a lot of great mentions in the news this week!  Larlee Creek Hullaballo ( http://www.cbc.ca/nb/mt/east-coast-music/2011/12/get-a-christmas-deal-on-the-hullabaloo.html ) by Bob Mersereau, an incredible editorial about media support by Eric Lewis  ( http://timestranscript.canadaeast.com/opinion/article/1461878 ) and wonderful mentions   by Alan Cochrane (http://telegraphjournal.canadaeast.com/entertainment/article/1461464) and the East Coast Music Blog on CBC (http://www.cbc.ca/nb/mt/east-coast-music/2011/12/nb-artists-lead-the-way-in-showcases-for-ecmas.html ).  Thank you to everyone who continues to support independent music from the East Coast.

We are very excited to announce that Chris Colepaugh ( and the Crew ) will be playing three shows during ECMA Weekend!  The ECMA Rock Stage , The Export Buyer’s Stage and the Sound Celebration with a full symphony orchestra.  It’s going tobe an amazing weekend, and no doubt with a few more appearances.  Special congrats out to all our fellow artists who will be playing as well.  You can find more info here:  http://www.ecma.ca/news.asp?section=&id=228

It was an incredible night at the Bell Center in Montreal on the 25th when Chris Colepaugh played pedal steel for International Recording Artist Roch Voisine.  An amazing show with an amazing group of people.

The Montreal Gazette said ” His ( Roch Voisine’s ) band of Quebec pros – fiddler Nathalie Bonin, Chris Colepaugh on pedal steel, guitarists Jeff Smallwood and Réjean Lachance on the battered Tele – were unimpeachable and could play anything. “  Thank you to Mark LePage for the wonderful shout-out!

You can read more here at the Montreal Gazette.

The Studio 12 Episode with Roch Voisine is now online! You can catch Chris Colepaugh playing pedal steel and singing backup for this wonderfully recorded session. http://www.tou.tv/studio-12/S04E07 The link may only be available for the week ( Not sure if it comes down with the next new performer ) , so we suggest you get on over there now and take a look!

Happy 75th Anniversary CBC! You’ve been a big part of music culture here in Canada and we thank you for it.  Cheers to another 75!

Saw this great pic on Facebook and had to share.  It is Dan Mazerolle’s pic titled ” How to be Chris Colepaughf or Halloween”.  Awesome pic Dan!

Chris Colepaugh will be performing in Winnipeg on November 15th as part of the KidSport Winnipeg Gala ( http://www.kidsportgala.com ).  Also on the lineup is fiddler extraordinaire Samantha Robichaud, a keynote from Hockey Hall of Famer Phil Esposito and much more. The event will celebrate the work KidSport Winnipeg does in the community in affording children from financially disadvantaged back grounds the opportunity to participate in sport. We encourage you to get your tickets early for this wonderful cause.

During the ECMA’s, Jimmie Inch from the East Coast Countdown ( and other fame!) asked Chris Colepaugh & Crew to come in for some performances to be aired on Bell Aliant. We finally have the footage! You can check it out online here: http://www.bellaliant.net/mediaondemand/?contentid=25929393
